As part of our continuous professional learning and preparation for implementation of Senior Secondary Australian Curriculum: English in 2017, Professor Imelda Whelehan, the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Training) and Dean of Graduate Research at the University of Tasmania led a professional learning session on Adaptation Studies which was very engaging and provided much food for thought.
The session focussed on:
- a brief outline of the history of text adaptation studies
- the benefits of studying adaptations
- the pitfalls involved in adaptation studies
- some specific areas that teachers might use in the classroom.
The Text Adaptation presentation can be viewed online.
