Please download and print off the attached samples and support materials (or bring along a device on which you can view the samples) and bring them to the meeting. (Paper copies of samples, support materials and course documents will not be provided on the day).
There will be some time in the meeting to assess the samples, but it will be useful to have already read them beforehand.
You will be assessing against Criterion 4.
- French – Level 3 – Sample 1 against: Criterion 4 – Element 1,2,3,4

- French – Level 3 – Sample 4 against Criterion 4 – Element 1,2,3,4
Please assess against Criterion 4 then Criterion 1 (only if time). A transcript of the listening and responding scripts are available to support this process.
Please also ensure you bring a copy of the Course Document.
Rationale for selection of work samples for Moderation purposes.
Criterion 4 was selected to moderate against on the basis of discrepancy data. Many teachers were also keen to moderate Criterion 1 (which also showed a degree of discrepancy worthy of moderating). Given that the Criterion 4 samples are short I have included 3 listening samples as an option if there is time. A transcript of the listening and responding scripts is available to support this process.
