In 2018 Curriculum Services will undertake work on the following courses with the intention that they will be available for teaching in 2019:
- the suite of Preliminary to Level 1 and suite of EAL/D courses
- a new First Nations Level 3 course
It is intended that the suite of Preliminary to Level 1 courses and the suite of EAL/D courses are redesigned to increase inclusivity and accessibility to meet a range of learner needs, provide increased opportunities for attainment and recognition of learning, and align with similar courses in other jurisdictions.
The First Nations Level 3 course will follow on from the Tasmanian Aboriginal Studies Level 2 course which was accredited for use from January 2018.
A consultation and course development plan is being established to ensure that all stakeholders have the opportunity to inform the development of these courses through 2018. Course development and consultation information will be available on the Years 11-12 Curriculum Website.
